FAQs
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy - as relatively misunderstood as it is - offers a whole-person perspective on lasting change for your health and well-being. Occupational Therapists enable individuals, groups, or communities to participate in meaningful occupations (or the activities you do to “occupy” your time) through holistic, evidence-based practice. Occupations are not only what we do (i.e. self-care, work, exercise), but how we experience being a human and belonging in this world.
The Occupational Therapy process is rooted in:
Authentic rapport building, understanding your unique story, and consistent collaboration
Thorough assessment of your values, beliefs, habits & routines, context & environment, and goals to hone your strengths and motivation
Intervention founded on empowering you to take charge of designing a life that promotes overall health and wellness
Consistent follow-up and problem-solving to reach your most meaningful outcomes

What is Lifestyle Optimization?
Lifestyle Optimization is an original approach to community-based therapeutic support based in 8 unique dimensions of wellness. Adapted from evidence-based theories and frameworks, it’s purpose is to give a structure, or “Personalized Pathway,” to optimizing one’s lifestyle. Lifestyle Optimization services at Be Wellness are conducted by a licensed occupational therapist, so specialized support for all ages & abilities is possible (and welcomed!) Learn more here.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, Be Wellness is cash-based pay. I can offer a superbill to your respective insurance policy, but please inquire with your insurance provider for reimbursement options. Refer here for our pay structure. We hope to offer low-cost services in the near future!
Who do you accept as clients?
Anyone! I say this because Occupational Therapy services can be delivered across the lifespan and for any ability. With that said, I love working with burnt out professionals, young adults looking to gain life and psychosocial skills, and older adults hoping to regain fun and function in their daily lives.
Book a risk-free consult to see if I can meet your needs, and if can't, I will do my best to find a referral in your community.
